work...

I haven't posted in awhile and haven't been good at taking my camera along places, so you get a pondering post from me today. Today I was thinking about the concept of work and I mean work in broad sense, lots of worth while things take work. Staying on track spirtually takes work, Relationships take work, getting fit takes work, being home-maker takes work, being good at what you do takes work. If you think something doesn't take work you may want to wonder to yourself am I maintaining it properly? When it feels like to many things take work I am remembering work is something God says is good and to work at whatever you do with all your heart as though working for the Lord.

Chloe's Coach's Calculation Celebration!

I told my neice Chloe I would give her a shout out on my blog. She passed her 1-4 multiplication table Quiz that she has been working on at school and last Friday was the day! She was so excited so she picked coach's to have ribs and fries to celebrate. Way to go Chloe!!

This French Fry arrangement was her idea to commemorate the occasion:

Snow Days...

This week we had ice and snow and my work was closed for two days. It was great to get caught up on all my paperwork and house work. A.M. and I went Wednesday to a new coffee and cupcake place to hang out in a cozy place and work on paperwork:

Here's Rory checking the snow out:

A kid in a candy store...

For those who know my husband well, you know his philosophy on most things as he loves to share with others the best ways to do anything and everything. (I almost said his opinion on the best way but he doesn't see it as an opinion rather as a fact its the best way) This would mean you may know how his way of spending or I should say not spending money, he hates to spend money on things he hasn't researched thoroughly, thought about at length and feel he can rest assured nothing about his purchase was spontaneous. Well for the last three years we have gone to the home and garden show and it's the one day a year where that whole philosophy goes right out the window. The phrase a kid in a candy store comes to mind. We went again last weekend and we made several spontaneous purchases sold to us by way to eager sales people, making crazy promises on these house products. Exhibit A- we were already strongly considering buying one of these incredible brooms pictured below even before they slashed the price and gave you a 2nd one free, of course how could we say no? Several other purchases along this line were made and It was quite fun for me being the one saying "are sure we need that?" f0r a change. Here's Ryan with some of the goodies:

Thunder Game

This weekend we went to see the OKC Thunder take on the Pistons. My sister-in-law had free tickets through her work. It was great because they were on the lower level with a great view of the court. We had fun but the half time show was not so fun. A lady was doing a Houdini water escape, in clear tube, but it didn't go well, her partner had to rescue her after it took to long and she went unconcsious, she ended up being okay and came too but it sure was scary to watch!! Glad she was okay.

Rory's favorite new snack!

We were recently told that apples are a great healthy snack for your pet. We figured out if you cut it up and give it to her she will have nothing to do with it but if you let her eat off the core, she loves it!

How the week started...

Well this week started off with a bang. Just a lot going on at work this week and other things so my mind was apparently feeling the overload and this was the result. I went an entire day without myself or anyone else noticing I wore a brown boot and a black boot! I was at the Gym AFTER work changing my shoes and there it was before me!
