Smothered Pork Chops...

Thanks to AM's fabulous new cooking blog, I ventrued outside my usual cooking zone and we tried one of her dishes she posted (smothered pork chops) and it turned out wonderful! Even Ryan liked it! (If you know Ryan he has quite picky eating tastes so that quite an accomplishment). Thanks AM!

Fondue with friends.

I am kinda behind on my posts. Last weekend we enjoyed dinner with friends. We had fondue (yum!!) and apparently it was also wear your hat to dinner night, everyone had worn one but me, so Ryan loned me one for the night :0)

PS we also watched there will be blood that night, I don't recomemend it. Weird story line your really invested in that maybe it will all come together but it never does. so disapointed.

Do you ever ponder?

Do you ever ponder if how we see ourselves is how others see us? I sometimes wonder are we totally off? So much effort is made for others to like us and do we ever fully like ourselves or is it a constant game to be accepted and esteemed by others? I thought we were done with that in middle school and high school but at this moment I think maybe we never are but some say we get better with age. But I wonder does the criteria for acceptance just change with age, or maybe it never does? Do the people we love the most have us right? They know us the best, I guess that's why it hurts the most when how they see us is not how we saw ourselves. This post may make no sense to anyone but me tonight but I was feeling reflective and analytical so there it is I offer it up so you can ponder it how you like. I am thankful for God who is the only one that really does know me better than myself no matter what pretenses I attempt.
