We were downtown this weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was a fun weekend of getting some things done and having a good time.
Friday we didn't get any pictures but we went downtown and enjoyed lunch with a dear friend. It was my first trip to Kaisers and I thought it was pretty yummy. Ava loved their mac and cheese.
Ryan and I got hooked on Downton Abbey this week. Season 1 we were able to watch for free but season 2 is proving a tougher find for free and season 3 won't even be on TV till January. There's been lots of British accents and talk of the need for servants around here this week. Who knew PBS masterpiece theater could be so entertaining.
Saturday we started one of our summer projects: Clean and organize the garage. We got it all cleared out and are still in the process of organizing it and putting it all back. We will have to finish it up this week in the evenings.
Saturday night I ran a 5K at the downtown dash in the evening. Ava got to jump in her first bouncy castle while we were there.
A few years ago the downtown dash was my first 5K ever that I ran the whole way. It was fun to return to it after doing the half this year it this was a fun easy short distance that I ran a personal best time on. It was a fun night to run, there was a Thunder Playoff game going on and the college softball playoffs, the city was alive and had a great atmosphere (we won the game).
Sunday night we went with our bible class group downtown to enjoy a get together at the summer twilight concert series. They are free concerts each Sunday night in the summer that the arts council puts on. The weather was beautiful and it was a fun night with our group.
Hope you had a great weekend too!
